BUCKET LIST FOR RETIREMENT!

BUCKET LIST WHEN YOU RETIRE!
As of Monday I am no longer a working girl. I worked for 23 years at a Juvenal Facility and  6 years at the local museum and another 17  months as a administrative assistant at a Real Estate office. When I retired the first time my hubby and I decided that I would find a part time job, but that turned into a 40 hr plus a week position.
My retirement day was suppose to be May 24, but got an unexpected call Sunday and was told that I didn't need to come in on Monday.
Surprise Surprise!>>>>>>>>>>
Anyway since Monday I have just kind of been in a fog.............I have to get with it and get things going around here. I guess it will take time for me to really realize that I do not have to go to work. I have been thinking about my bucket list of things they wanted to get done when I retired......
The list never ending is so long that I do not know where to start;
Any and all suggestions as to where I should  start would be helpful:
1. Clean out the garage
2. Packet up my daughters room
(since she got married over a year ago)
3. Blog more
4. Table scape more
5. Play with my dishes
6. Repaint all the bedrooms
7. Improve the look of the deck
8. Reorganize my kitchen cabinets
9. Just a over all purge of my house
10. Go thrifting when I want to
11. Dust off the golf clubs
12. I could go on and on and on......................

OK I have bored you enough with my dilemma I thought I would  post one of my Patriotic table scape from the Past. Maybe I can get get a new one together before the weekend !

Our prayers and thoughts are with all the families that have been affected by all the tornadoes here in Texas and Oklahoma. Also the families of West still dealing with the devastating explosion. God grant them peace and faith in the coming days.

Thanks for dropping by
Hope you can give me help with my bucket
so please leave me comment.

  1. Very festive table. I'd forget the first two things on the bucket list and just do fun things for awhile. I'm still a working gal, but would love to retire. Have fun! laurie

  3. I have exactly 1 week left after teaching for 32 years. I have been at my school for 24 years and am now teaching the children of former students. I can't quite grasp that soon, I will not have to get up and go to school every day.

I too have a list. I have a post ready called 30 Days of Pinterest where I will finally do some of the projects I posted on Pinterest over the last several years.

I am following you now and will check in to see what you are doing and to get some ideas.

    HAPPY RETIREMENT

  6. Congratulations on your retirement! I quit work in 2000. I think it took me an entire year to figure out what to do with my time. I am a slave to a schedule, so I felt adrift for a while. Now I'm so busy that I can't imagine how I ever had time to work!

Just do what seems right when you get up that morning. And then try not to feel guilty!! That's what retirement is for!!..Happy Wednesday..Judy
