Dry Spell in Bloggville.....One year Anniversary!!!

Yes, I have been away for awhile work and family have been occupying my time.
This is my one year Anniversity to bloggville!!!!
Thanks to everyone who have visited and  followed <;).
I hope everyone has had a very enjoyable Thanksgiving.
Oops!!! I forgot to take pictures.
I really scaled back this year on everything for Thanksgiving.
We had family in for the day, we ate
and of course football was on the menu.
My husband's day ended well with the
 University of Texas BIG WIN!!!!
Sorry!!!! A&M your going to miss us next turkey day.
I am glad our neighbors did not turn us in as
it really got loud at times during the game.
It was great to see the burnt orange of the tower.

I was early to bed not to get get up and hit
Black Friday shopping but off to work the next day.

This is the first time I have worked on the day after
Thanksgiving in over 30 years.
WOW and I hope it is the last.
Remember I work at a museum we had one visitor all day.
 That's enough complaining!!!

Now it is on to decorating for Christmas, has anyone found  the contact number for the decorating elf who would
arrive and it would all be done.
I have new decoration for my 9 ft. tree so I am excited to begin.
This is a photo of last year so stop by for the new look.
Before and yes I have to use the ladder to decorate.
You can see I am getting my instruction.

All done and even presents under the tree.

Question  how many ornaments can you place on 9 ft tree?
I never have enough.

Tomorrow is a new day, I ask that you
say a prayer for peace and excitement to return
as it has been a stressful time for the Farquhar family.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment.
They always make me smile

Repost of Thanksgiving---#1

This is a visit from the past. I will be changing out my dining room table tommorrow!! I hope that I have improved.

As long as I have been married I have tried to set a table for special occasions. I recently found a wonderful site Between Naps on the Porch and realized that there are others in the world like me. Those who have items stashed in every nook and cranny of there houses. In the near future I hope to be one of those lucky ladies who will have everything organized.
Not only am I a collector but my mother cannot pass up a yard sale or antique shop. She is know my name at the local thrift stores, so I usually benefit from her visits. I hate to admit it but my daughter has inherited this gene also. We have lost count of our sets of Christmas dishes. Our church had a Christmas luncheon and she I set  6 tables and did not duplicate a table.
I am excited about my new venture and  I hope to improve my blogging abilities.

This is my first post of my table scape yesterday.
Wish I had photos of the past years.
