Let Dish Wednesday her Challenge
was a table using only white dishes and one other color as an accent.
She knows how to CHALLENGE us.
I seemed to always want to use a lot of color on my tables so this was a BIG challenge for me.
The big decision was what accent color would I use
????????????
orange-red--aqua--yellow
Can you guess which one won?
Well aqua won out. A few months ago I found aqua napkins at HG (love that store)
So now do I have anything else, so the hunt was on.
I decided to shop the house.
Complete Setting(oops the decanter really is the right color I thought)
Had to light the candles
I hope I followed the rules that Kathleen set for us. I did have fun shopping the house and trying to only use White & Aqua.
Where did it come from:
Charges: Pier 1
Plates: Oneida/Wicker--Goodwill
Fish Bowls: Hobby Lobby
Cake Stand, Clear centerpiece, Milk Glass glasses,Cup & saucer, flatware,--Thrifty Store finds (not all at one time)
Creamer & Sugar: Belong to my sweet MIL
Candle holders: Birthday gift from the daughter
Beach chair: Dollar General (on Monday)
Clear Crystal: Wedding
So there you have it I only spent $3.50 and it think I did it.
Oh I have to add one more picture you find the change give me a

This a most beautiful summer by the sea tablescape! I love those pretty aqua fish plates, along with the chargers, dinner plates and all your milk glass whites! Big hugs,
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Just beautiful, love your challenge tablescape. I used aqua too. Especially love your fish dishes!
ReplyDeleteYour table is beautiful. The accent color is one of my faves. I love those chargers so I bought some from Pier One too...Christine
ReplyDeleteYes, you did the challenge very successfully!! I love the aqua and those wooden chargers and the fish too! And it is so extra special with the candlelight. Linda
ReplyDeleteCathy, you are right - we were thinking, about the same colors! Your table is so cute. I like both variations and I love those fish plates!
ReplyDeleteI like the white and the teal place mats. They are both very effective. Great job on the challenge. You rose to the occasion. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteI bought some aqua at the beginning of the summer, and I have only pulled them out one time to use. I need to remedy that. I love this table with the blue whimsy all over it. The fish plates are my favorite part, but that beach chair is a close second.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the name of this blog!
ReplyDeleteI love the aqua and white! What a lovely summer table! Especially loving those chargers and fish plates!!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job. You capture summer and the beach. I love your candle arrangement and I actually prefer with without the placemat. Thanks for your visit and kind comments. Dianne
ReplyDeleteI think it is so funny that some think all white is hard. I always thought it would be the easiest challenge. Thank you for putting so much thought into it and joining in, you did a great job! White and aqua are so lovely together, a great duo!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Let's Dish!
So glad I found your fun post @ Share Your Cup Thursdays! Love the look you created.

ReplyDeleteThe white and aqua tablescape are wonderful colors for a beach theme. Your pretty centerpiece of candles and shells is so appropriate. That is a great way to celebrate summer and enjoy the beach at home! Have a great week1

Hi, Cathy. Thanks for your sweet comments about my white baptism table! I agree with you--if you've got the good stuff, USE IT!! And use what you have you did on this post. It's a lovely table. I've always loved teal, so this table is right up my alley. And that little beach chair is too, too cute! I may need to go find one! ~Zuni
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower back! I meant to do that when I visited and forgot. Thanks, and welcome to Chickadee Home Nest!

I love the aqua with the white! Such a fun pop of color. I'm bummed that I didn't get around to joining this party. Love your chargers and I like the napkin underneath best. Thanks for sharing it with SYC.

You certainly met the challenge with your gorgeous table, Cathy. I love the aqua fish dishes.

The white looks beautiful with the aqua! Neat beach scheme, very fresh looking!

Cathy, you certainly nailed it with this pretty table! I loved seeing all your beautiful milkglass items. I have some from my mother & grandmother...yours play well with that punch of aqua.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the straw placemat beneath those gorgeous white chargers!! Good call!
The fish dishes are adorable! Very pretty solution to the challenge!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your chargers. They are the prettiest I have seen out there.I didn't get to meet the challenge, too much going on around here. I think you met that challenge and then some. Great table and the little fish bowls are adorable and you have a great milk glass collection.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Ginger
I could have sworn I commented on this lovely table last week, Cathy but I don't see my post. ???
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I loved seeing how you used your pretty milkglass with that GORGEOUS aqua color...one of my favorites. Beautifully done!
I love the aqua and white together - you've hit on my favourite colour combo!!
