In Between Holiday Tablescapes

As I set here writing this, West Texas sand has blown in to North Texas
and my head is telling me about it. I use to live in West Texas
an always suffered when those red clouds blew in.
Only in Texas can you have in one month
 ICE< SNOW<10 degrees <SUN with  75 degrees<
29 mile gust with SAND  and 65 degrees.
Guess it is better than 10 feet of snow and 10 degrees.

During this time of the year I am in a dilemma
Don't you hate it when you are undecided!
I think it is to early for St. Patrick decoration, Mardi Gras isn't until  March
and then Easter is in April.
What to do?????
So thought I would pull out some of the dishes I have not used in a while.
So here is a quick look at my In Between Tablescape.

Country Life
by Warren Kimble

Red Round Barn
Rooster egg cups & Barn napkin rings
were a Thrift store but before I ever found the dishware.

Barn with a steeple
Rooster juice glasses-Pottery Barn
Fosteria American water glass--MIL
Coffee Mug-Warren Kimble-Country Quartet
Flatware-TJ MAXX
Vintage creamer--Thrift Store
Moo Cow--Salt & Pepper--???

Chargers--Pier 1
Cake Stand-Marshall's

White two story Barn

Rooster Pitcher-Creamer & Sugar--Target
Barn Cookie Jar--Gift from my Mom
Tiny chicken in the Cloche--?????

Red Barn Cookie JAR

All the Warren Kimble dishes were found at Goodwill, some in my home town
and others at Goodwill in Amarillo!!!
Maybe that is why the sand is blowing,
wanted the dishes to fill they were at home ;)

Visited a friend  that I play dishes with yesterday. Just had  to share her tablescape
        Table 1
Check below which tablecloth do you like best.
Table 2

I have not talked  her in to blogging so I get to share her tables with you.
She is a dish alcoholic like me!
Isn't it great to have friends to play dishes with.

  1. I do love your little barn plates. I especially like the two story white one. This is the cutest tablescape, and the napkin rings are perfect.

As soon as Mardi Gras is over, I'm decorating for St. Patrick's Day!!!

  2. Oh my gosh I'm going through the same thing. Right now I don't have the faintest idea what type of table I'm going to put together. I do love yours and look forward to more. Have a peaceful weekend!

    1. Thanks Sandra, now I have two ideals in my mine so I guess I am still undecided.

  3. Hi Cathy! Thank you so much for the sweet comment you left on my blog. I wanted to stop by and visit your blog....love it...very creative tablescapes. Your friend that you "play dishes" with also had beautiful tablescapes. (my favorite was table 2's tablecloth) We are almost neighbors....I live in eastern New Mexico. Amarillo is about 100 miles away and we shop there often! Enjoy your week end....hugs, Penny

  4. Discovered you via Tablescape Thursday and just wanted to say how cute this table is - I love the barn theme! Your friend's table is also lovely - the second tablecloth is my favorite, though the first one is beautiful too!

  5. Love your barn plates! You are so fortunate to have a friend who shares your love for dishes. I love your friend's table as well, and vote for the second tablecloth! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

    1. Rosie thanks for stopping by. My friend and I get in a lot of trouble together and it is hard sometimes when we shop as both like the same thing.

  6. I really like your barn dishes. I've never seen that pattern, and lucky you to find them at 2 GW stores. The cookie jar is the perfect centerpiece for this table, and of course, you can never have too many roosters around the barn. Your friends tables are both so pretty, but I am a sucker for French Provencal, so I love Table No. 1. laurie

    1. Laurie, yes it was a lucky find and it was within about 2 weeks of each other that they were found. Rooster have over taken my kitchen I agree never too many. You should see what she found this weekend at a local Trades Day and she only spent $5.00.

  8. Hi, Cathy! I think this is my first time visiting your blog. (My brain is old and about the size of a chickpea, so I can't be sure!) Thank you for coming by to visit my site earlier this week.

Gee....I like both tablecloths. Gun to my head, though, I guess I'd go with #2. No, wait...#1. No, hold on a sec...#2. Oh, poo...I don't know! I like them both! :-) It's neat that you have a friend who also enjoys tablescaping! Can you please send her clone my way? ;-)

Your tablescape is really neat with all the terrific thrift store finds. I'm just finding my way around in thrift stores and have found you can find some pretty cool stuff there sometimes. You did a great job here!

Thank you again for stopping by to visit, and I hope you enjoy a weekend that is free of crazy weather!
