Don't you just love the color of spring when you can again enjoy that outside area that has not been used for a long time. Yes, this is my deck where we enjoy watching the ducks, squirrels, birds and ducking from the many off the course golf balls. Yes I said golf balls!!!
We live on the 7th fairway of the golf course. This was my Big Jim's one requirement when we were looking for a house here 6 years ago that we live on the golf course. We never realized that we would have to be very alert during the peak golfing times. I have been know to be setting on another part of the deck that is covered and have a golf ball almost land in my lap. Those of you that play golf know when you hit that driver off the tee that there is a pinging sound, well that is our signal to look to the sky and a my family says"In Coming". I can not count the ceramic flower containers that are no longer are in one piece. We do love the area but we have learned to DUCK. I have been planning a patio table scape but will have to make sure it's day the course is closed.
Hope ever one has a wonderful day. I hope we here in North Texas don't end up in Oklahoma as the wind is blowing a gale. <;)
Hi Cathy! Oh, your patio is very lovely. I giggled while reading your post. It made me think of the old "duck and cover" from long ago!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hey Cathy! I found you over at Sheila's Note Songs. I just had to stop by and introduce myself when I saw that you got one of those penquin servers for a wedding gift!! So did we!! And ~~ we had our 40th wedding anniversary last year. LOL! We must have lots in common.
ReplyDeleteI am certainly admiring your patio. Ours is still a soggy wet mess from cold spring rains. I like the looks of yours much better. Stop by and say hello some time.
